The "Red Zone" is a seven-bed unit in the emergency department that is dedicated to caring for pediatric patients. The Red Zone is open seven days per week and is staffed with ER physicians experienced in the care of children. They work closely with community pediatricians to ensure that our patients receive the most comprehensive pediatric emergency care.

Pediatric trained and certified emergency room nurses, in conjunction with child life specialists, case managers and social workers specialize in caring for children during medical emergencies.
