We are on the first and second floors on the east side of the hospital and offer private Labor, Delivery and Recovery rooms in home-like settings that allow women to stay in the same room during the birthing experience. Family participation is encouraged and we provide flexible visiting hours.
High tech, Family Centered Care
For women whose pregnancy may be complicated by diabetes, high blood pressure, premature labor or any other medical illness, we provide high-tech, family-centered services, as well as neonatal intensive care.
Our doctors and nurses provide expertise and experience in caring for some of the most complex pregnancies and deliveries. Banner Thunderbird also has an intelligent OB information system, which uses electronic medical records, that helps prevent medical errors and provides more comprehensive care for mothers and babies.
Support and Resources
All expectant mothers receive our Parents-to-be Handbook , which covers prenatal, hospital and home care education topics. We also offer childbirth education classes and special programs on a wide range of topics including prenatal education, breastfeeding to classes for siblings.
