The Medical Imaging department at Banner Children’s is designed to cater to the special needs of our pediatric patients and their families.

We understand that sometimes testing can be uncomfortable or scary for children and for parents. Our goal is to help the child and parents make any imaging experience as quick and as comfortable as possible.

To achieve that goal, Banner Children’s Medical Imaging department provides radiologists, technologists and anesthesiologists trained in pediatric care, including conscious sedation. The department also works with Child Life Specialists and its own Medical Imaging technicians to ensure a caring and comfortable experience for all young patients.

For our pediatric patients, Medical Imaging uses special screening protocols, state-of-the-art medical imaging technologies and expertly trained imaging professionals to aid in the early detection, examination and diagnosis of various illnesses and abnormalities.
