Cancer Diagnosis
Cancer treatment begins with an accurate diagnosis, and the pediatric cancer care specialists at Cardon Children's Medical Center use a number of cancer detection resources and state-of-the-art medical technologies to identify and stage cancers.
Cardon Children's Medical Center participates in the Oncology Data Management, a confidential information registry which logs treatment-related data on all new cancer patients to increase effectiveness and help better understand the cancer care process
Information including patient demographics, cancer identification, treatment modalities and patient outcomes is collected, analyzed and forwarded to medical professionals at the state and national level. Arizona law requires hospitals to report to the registry.
