Pediatric Neuropsychology
The job of neuropsychology is to provide a clearer picture of how well a child’s ability to learn, remember, act or process information might be affected by their medical or biological condition, and how much improvement might be expected over time.
The child is given kid-friendly but highly specific, well-standardized tasks. The child’s ability to perform these tasks provides valuable information about localized and generalized brain function.
Assessments include:
- ADHD
- Learning disabilities
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Genetic syndromes
- Social/emotional factors affecting a known medical condition
- Mood disorders (including Bipolar disorder)
- Behavioral disorders
Our expertise includes:
- Neuropsychological evaluations
- Psychological evaluations
- Psychoeducational evaluations
- Presurgical evaluations
- Parenting issues
- Child abuse or neglect
- Autism and developmental delays
- Stress management
- Pain management
- Effects of traumatic brain injury, childhood cancer, epilepsy, concussion and stroke
We offer both inpatient and outpatient consultations and sessions.
