Page Hospital and Banner Health support United Way
PAGE, Ariz. (Oct. 15, 2008) -- Page Hospital was recognized as the leading United Way contributor in Page for 2007/2008 at the Page United Way Kick Off and Recognition luncheon, held at the Courtyard by Marriott on Sept. 25.
Sandy Haryasz and Diane Phipps attended the luncheon, and were presented with a “Community Partner” award on behalf of Page Hospital. Karen Thomas, Page United Way Coordinator, spoke at length about our hospital United Way campaign and mentioned how involved our employees are with our lunch, baskets, games, etc.
Employees participating in the United Way campaign identify to which local organization they wish to allocate thier funds.
Page Hospital kicked off its 2008/2009 United Way campaign Oct. 13 with Starbucks coffee and donuts. Other fund raising activities included a leadership breakfast where leaders were challenged to a game of “Are you smarter than an administrator?”, a green chili pork lunch were all proceeds went to United Way, and a wrap-up day of gift-basket raffles, games and an ice cream social.
Page Hospital’s goal for 2008/2009 is to raise $13,000.
