Visitor Restrictions at Page Hospital
PAGE, Ariz. (Feb. 1, 2011) -- Effective Feb. 1, Page Hospital will implement visitor restrictions to protect our patients and employees during the RSV and influenza seasons. The visitor restrictions are as follows:
- Do not visit the hospital if you are exhibiting signs of possible flu (runny nose, cough, fever, etc).
- Children ages 12 and under will not be permitted beyond the hospital lobby and must be attended by an adult at all times.
Our goal is to protect the health and safety of our patients, many of whom are already vulnerable and susceptible to more serious illness.
During the flu season, we are not allowing children under the age of 12 into any patient care area out of concern for patients. Research indicates that children are the main carriers and transmitters of the flu.
Patients who schedule outpatient appointments will be instructed to come to appointments without their children.
All visitors are encouraged to wash their hands often; before entering a patient’s room and upon leaving. Sinks and waterless hand sanitizer are available throughout the hospital.
