The Journey Begins
East Morgan County Hospital’s journey begins with a transformation that brings expanded capabilities and strengthened commitment to the community. As part of the Master Facility Plan, which started in 1994 with the Alonzo Petteys Rehabilitation Center, the new construction will expand the hospital’s footprint with an additional 29,000 square feet.
Infrastructure upgrades include a new heating and cooling system and a new generator. Chief among the visitor and patient upgrades are additional parking spaces and larger, private and semi-private patient rooms. A new entry will highlight some of the cosmetic enhancements. Additionally, shell space – sections of empty building – will be built into the expansion to allow for future growth.
A strong partnership between the EMCH District Board and Banner Health has allowed the project to move forward. The EMCH District Board and Banner Health will share the cost of the project. Once completed, East Morgan County residents will have access to a state-of-the-art facility that continues the tradition of excellent patient care.
