Acupuncture
Acupuncture integrates the whole body, mind and spirit. Rather than just eliminating symptoms, it focuses on remedying the root causes of the illness or disease and restoring the body's balance. A professional will be offering 15 minute stress and relaxation treatments as a simple introduction to acupuncture. FREE.


Asthma Screening
The Asthma Screening Program identifies potential asthma in children and adults who have breathing problems.  The goal of the screening is to increase asthma awareness and reach individuals who have breathing problems that might be asthma and educate them about the diagnosis and treatment.  The steps included in the screening process is the completion of a questionnaire, a lung function test (spirometry) and having an allergist available to meet with individuals and discuss findings and answer questions as needed.  This screening follows the ACAAI (American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology) Nationwide Asthma Screening Program with the registered coordinator being Dr. Culver. Balance Screening*
Do you experience unsteadiness or falls on a regular basis?  Balance impairments have a great impact on falling.  According to the Centers for Disease Control, falls are a common cause of traumatic brain injuries, and most fractures among older adults are caused by falls.  The physical therapist professional will provide a balance and fall risk screening to help community members understand how their balance can be affecting their fall risk.  FREE.


Breast Health Screening*
This screening helps participants identify changes in shape or size or skin dimpling followed by a thorough examination of the breast, chest and armpit.  The health professional also teaches the participant the proper technique for a self-breast exam. FREE.


Blood Pressure Checks
What's the most important number to know?  Not your net worth, your age, or even the PIN number of your ATM card. It's your blood pressure. You should know this number and what it means. Nearly one-third of people with high blood pressure don't know they have it. High blood pressure or hypertension can cause the heart to work harder than normal and can cause heart enlargement and weakening.  It also increases the risk or heart attack and stoke. FREE.


Biofeedback/ Stress Management Screenings
A heart arrhythmia that you want to have involves an increasing heart rate when you inhale, and a decrease when you exhale. This healthy change in heart rate breathing can lesson with age. This lack of variability and flexibility in the heart rate can be an indicator of health risks, especially cardiovascular risks. By improving your breathing pattern, you can increase your heart rate variability lesson your stress response and improve your health. The biofeedback clinician will give you a lesson in slow, effortless diaphragmatic breathing that you can practice at home.  FREE.


Central Nervous System Screening*
The nervous system controls and coordinates all the functions of the body. The professional will prelim central nervous system scans to evaluate how well your nervous system is functioning, and will help you discover how well your nerves are sending the necessary signals, effectively or ineffectively. FREE.



Cervical Screening*
Cervical cancer starts in the cells of the cervix, which is the lower part of the uterus. If cervical cancer is detected and treated early, there is a much greater chance of successful treatment. The screening can help find cervical cancer before symptoms develop. A professional will be offering free or very low cost cervical screenings to any uninsured woman who has not had a pap test in three or more years.

Stress is a fact of life today. The effects of stress are cumulative and, without time to relax and recharge, can lead to many health conditions such as fatigue; tight muscles in shoulders, neck and back; listlessness and poor concentration; increased heart rate and blood pressure; a depleted immune system; and physical and emotional exhaustion. Chair Massage Therapy is the most cost-effective way to reduce tension and achieve overall better health in as little as a 15-minute treatment. Diabetes Screening
Blood glucose, also known as blood sugar, is an essential measure of your health. Your body breaks down food you consume into glucose and sends it into the bloodstream.  Insulin, a hormone in your body, then helps transport the glucose into the blood cells to be used for energy. This blood glucose check will provide you with your current level.  If your cells become “insulin resistant,” the glucose cannot get into the blood cells; therefore, glucose builds up in the blood.nThis screening will determine the current reading of your blood glucose. If high blood glucose is left untreated, your body can experience problems such as nerve damage, kidney or eye problems, heart disease, and stroke.


Ear Canal Screenings
Hearing enables us to socialize, work, communicate, relax, and fully live life. The professional will be screening for ear canal wax using fiber optic cameras. Participants will see if they have wax build up inside their ear canal. Hearing aid wearers will also be able to get their aids cleaned.


Endurance Tests
Cardiovascular endurance is important to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, cancer, and many other health concerns. A professional will be administrating the three minute step test to assess your cardiovascular endurance.  



Body Fat and BMI Screening
Too much body fat is more than a cosmetic problem; it is also a health problem too. There are many risk factors associated with being overweight or obese. Some risk factors are high blood glucose, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, stroke, different forms of cancer, heart disease. It is important to know your body composition values, so you can make any necessary lifestyle changes.

Lung Function Screening 
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the term used to describe when someone has chronic bronchitis and emphysema that results in irreversible airway obstruction. COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in America, and is the only one of the top ten causes of death in America that is still on the rise. There is a way to find out if your lungs are less healthy than you might think. A local medical professional, by way of a spirometry test, performs the lung function screening. Spirometry is helpful in checking the health of your lungs. FREE.


Mental Health Screenings*
According to The National Alliance on Mental Health, nearly 60 million Americans experience a mental health condition every year, and regardless of race, age, religion or economic status, mental illness impacts the lives of at least one in four adults across the United States.  A will be professional present to privately sit down with the participants to administer a mental health screening. FREE. 


Oral Cancer Screening*
Oral cancer is the sixth most common cancer reported annually in the United States. Oral cancer is often difficult to self-diagnose, so routine dental examinations are strongly recommended. When not diagnosed and treated in its early stages, oral cancer can spread, leading to chronic pain, loss of function, irreparable facial and oral disfigurement, and death. Prime candidates for oral cancer are those who smoke cigarettes or chew tobacco and also use alcohol. Men have been twice as likely as women to develop the disease often because of tobacco and alcohol use. But, the number of women has increased in recent years due to smoking. Local dentists will screen participants including lips, mucosa, gingival, teeth, pharynx, tongue and floor of the mouth, teaching participants the importance of periodic oral exams and risk factors for oral diseases. Skin Cancer Screening*
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, with approximately 1 million new cases diagnosed each year. Routine skin exams are recommended for all adults, but are particularly important for people with one or more risk factors for skin cancer.  Local physicians will screen participants for skin cancer.  This will include examining the skin for changes color, texture, moles, non-healing scabs, ulcerations and other disorders of the skin. Do you wonder what your results really mean? Summary and Referral is available to participants who wish to review the results of their individual lab work, screening results and/or have questions about making healthier lifestyle choices. FREE.


Vein Screening*
Venous disease is common. It may cause long-term disability, blood clots, and skin breakdown, and it can be life threatening. Varicose veins or numerous spider veins may be a sign of venous disease, but a proper evaluation is needed to assess the problem. A professional will be available to privately provide you a venous disease screening. FREE.  


Vision Screening
Vision is priceless. Do you have problems focusing on the world around you? This screening will take place with a local professional and will measure of the power of the eye, particularly with its ability to distinguish letters and numbers at a given distance. FREE.

  • Blood Chemistry Analysis Blood Screening (Chem-24)*
    Normal test results are a significant part of ruling out illness/disease. These results also establish a baseline "normal" for each person. This is useful to monitor changes that may occur in your lifetime. The Chem 24 Chemistry Panel includes measurements of cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, risk ratio, iron, thyroid, glucose, along with several heart, liver, kidney and muscle enzymes.  Price $30
  • Complete Blood Count Blood Screening (CBC)*
    The CBC is one of the most commonly ordered blood screening tests and is used to present a general picture of a person's overall health. It can help diagnose illness or disease for people with many signs or symptoms and monitor treatment of many disease states including anemia and leukemia. Price $15.
  • Prostate Specific Antigen Blood Screening (PSA)*
    Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer found in men in the U. S. It occurs in about 1 out of 10 men during their lifetime.  This is an optional blood screening for men. The American Urological Association and the Prostate Cancer Education Council recommend annual prostate screenings for all men age 50 and over (earlier if positive family history).  Price $30
  • Hemoglobin A1c Blood Screening (A1c)*
    The Hemoglobin A1c gives a picture of the average amount of glucose in the blood over the past few months. It can help with treatment of diabetes and for certain people, this test may be used to screen for and diagnose diabetes and pre-diabetes. Price $25.
