Feb. 3, 2012 --- Subaru of Loveland, a division of Davidson-Gebhardt Auto Group, has donated a two-year lease on a 2012 Subaru Outback to raise funds for the Stepping Stones Adult Day Program. Subaru of Loveland has been a long-time partner with the McKee Medical Center Foundation as a sponsor of the Community Classic Bike Tour and the McKee Presents Gala.

Nov. 7, 2011 – McKee Presents…Hearts of the West, presented by The Friends of the Hospital, with major sponsorship provided by Home State Bank, was held Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Embassy Suites in Loveland. Attended by more than 300 business owners, physicians, community leaders and McKee Foundation supporters, the event raised more than $91,000. Ticket sales, sponsorship contributions, and auction revenue will benefit the Stepping Stones Adult Day Program at McKee.

Oct. 12, 2011 – The McKee Breast Center at McKee Medical Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

McKee Medical Center announces schedule of flu shot clinics
Oct. 11, 2011 –Wellness Services at McKee Medical Center will offer several community flu shot clinics throughout the area over the next few weeks.  The vaccination offered is to help prevent the seasonal flu. The Centers for Disease Control recommends everyone 6 months of age and older have a yearly flu vaccine. The 2011-2012 flu vaccine will protect against viruses that research shows will be most common this season: influenza A (H1N1) virus, influenza A (H3N2) virus, and influenza B virus.

Banner Health expands regional diabetes education program
Oct. 10, 2011 – To meet the ongoing demand for resources and education related to diabetes, the staff of Banner Health Outpatient Diabetes Education have enhanced and expanded the program in Greeley, Windsor and Loveland. The program will expand to Johnstown Family Physicians later this year.

Banner Health to limit early deliveries in support of fetal development
June 30, 2011 — Beginning July 18, Banner Health hospitals including North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley and McKee Medical Center in Loveland, will no longer schedule elective cesarean sections and labor inductions before 39 weeks of pregnancy unless specific medical criteria can be demonstrated.

March 1, 2011  --- The Loveland Little Sprint Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, July 23 beginning at noon at Mountain View High School in Loveland. Organizers of the triathlon, for kids ages 14 and under, hope to motivate area youth through sport to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. Participants compete in age-appropriate distances with an emphasis on fun and safety. All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal.  This year’s race will be capped at 250 participants.

Sept. 2, 2010 – On Sept. 18, the Wellness Services team at McKee Medical Center will offer the first of several community flu shot clinics in Loveland. The vaccination offered is to help prevent the seasonal flu. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends getting the flu shot as soon as it is available to provide protection if the flu season comes early. This year’s vaccine contains the H1N1 strain that was prevalent in the 2009-2010 season.
