Cancer Support & Education
McKee Medical Center understands the importance of patient and family support and offers an assortment of support resources.
We offer support groups as well as an on-site cancer social worker provides complementary counseling to help patients and their families cope with and adapt to the cancer diagnosis.
Additionally, McKee Medical Center maintains the Wellspring Health & Resource Library enabling patients, family members and the community to obtain information on cancer and cancer-related topics. Books, reference materials, videos, audio tapes and online information are available for check out free of charge.
McKee Medical Center Cancer Support Groups
- General Cancer Support – a general cancer support and education group for those touched by cancer.

- Caregivers Support Group – an educational support group for caregivers of cancer patients.

- Man-to-Man, A Prostate Cancer Support Group – a support and education group for men with prostate cancer and their loved ones.

- When: Fourth Thursday of each month, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

- Loveland Breast Cancer Support Group – With a tradition dating back 27 years, the Loveland Breast Cancer Support Group offer help and advice.

- When: Second Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

- Hearts of Hope – a regional support program for children ages 7-16 who have loved ones with cancer. Meetings are held one Saturday per month from 9 - 11 a.m. in the Wellness Center at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. Call (970) 635-4129 for meeting dates.
- American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery®, a patient-to-patient visitation program offering education and support for breast cancer patients. Call (303) 652-4941 for meeting dates and times.
