On-site, around-the-clock physician care is available to all patients throughout McKee Medical Center with the hospitalist program.

Hospitalists are especially skilled in treating health problems common in hospitalized patients such as pneumonia, infections, heart attacks and congestive heart failure.

The hospitalist will provide patients and their families added comfort and security by answering questions, coordinating tests and treatments and overseeing care from the time of admission through discharge. Hospitalists work closely with primary care physicians and other referring physicians to improve the continuum of care and transfer of information regarding patients. They work to ensure smooth coordination of all hospital services during a patient’s stay.
