  • Blood Pressure Check
High blood pressure or hypertension can make the heart work harder than normal and can cause heart enlargement and weakening.  It also increases the risk or heart attack and stoke.  We recommend that individuals have their blood pressure checked prior to having their blood drawn.
  • Body Composition
Body fat analysis using the caliper or bioimpedence method.  The test measures the percentage of subcutaneous fat at three sites on the body.
  • Bone Density
Osteoporosis is a disease that causes your bones to gradually weaken and become fragile.  With the help of low-cost ultrasound heal screening we are able to determine if women are at risk for developing osteoporosis or osteopenia (an early form of osteoporosis).  Early detection is key in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.   *This is only a screening and women who have already been diagnosed with osteoporosis will not benefit from this screening.
  • Cholesterol  (Total Value)
This is a finger stick, non-fasting total cholesterol reading (not a breakdown of HDL and LDL). This screening is a great opportunity to see if the lifestyle changes you are making are effective in helping to control cholesterol levels or a good starting point if you have never had your cholesterol tested. Total cholesterol results are given in three minutes so participants have immediate results to take with them.
  • Colorectal Kit
Occult blood testing is the first line of defense for anyone age 40 and over in the fight against colorectal cancer.  Ninety nine percent of all cases of colon and rectal cancers in the United States occur in people over 40.  The test can be taken in the privacy of your own home and is simple, clean and effective.
  • Ergonomic Screening
An ergonomic approach to proper computer work station set up for individuals or groups with a focus on good seated posture and positioning for feet, knees, hips, low back, upper back, neck, arms, wrists, and hands. Simple solutions are recommended to encourage comfort and productivity and decrease stress and the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Hearing Screening
Twenty four million Americans (one in ten) have hearing loss. You can't reverse hearing loss. However, you don't have to live in a world of less distinct  sounds. A hearing screening can provide early detection of hearing loss. This screening is performed by a CAOHC certified professional. An audiogram will be used to screen a person’s degree of hearing loss and type of hearing loss present. This screening is used as a tool to evaluate one’s hearing and is not intended to be used as a diagnosis.
  • Lung Function Screening
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the term used to describe when someone has chronic bronchitis and emphysema that results in irreversible airway obstruction.  COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in America, and is the only one of the top ten causes of death in America that is still on the rise.  There is a way to find out if your lungs are less healthy than you might think.  Spirometry is helpful in checking the health of your lungs.  It is a simple lung function screening.
  • Nurse 1 on 1 Consultation
Blood work explanation is available to participating employees who wish to review the results of their individual Wellness Profile and lab work and/or have questions about making healthier lifestyle choices.
  • Skin Cancer Screening
Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. If diagnosed and removed early, it is almost 100 percent curable. Skin cancer screenings should be part of everyone’s preventive health care. Our qualified medical personnel can provide this service as part of a company health fair or as a stand-alone service.
  • Vision Screening
This screening includes a Snellen Eye Chart, color blindness test, and peripheral evaluation.
