Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
At McKee Medical Center, inpatient rehabilitation services include occupational, physical and speech/language therapies. Various teams of therapists work with nursing staff, physicians and patients and their families to provide inpatient care in the following capacities:
- Acute Care Team provides therapy for the adult and pediatric patients in medical, surgical and critical care units.
- Transitional Care Unit Team treats patients with conditions that require continued therapy before being discharged to their home or prior living arrangement.
- Therapeutic Infant Intervention Program also referred to as TIIP, identifies infants at risk for possible developmental delays, provides evaluation and treatment if needed, and facilitates positive family/child interaction.
- Orthopedic Care Team cares for patients after joint replacement surgery, spine surgery, fractures and other orthopedic conditions.
