It's the Little Things
A nice, relaxing Jacuzzi. Room-service meals. A special time for cookies and milk. A free massage.
It’s not a resort. It’s the labor and delivery department for McKee Medical Center. And Sabrina, who had her third child at McKee and is planning to have her fourth there, loves it. “I felt very spoiled.”
In addition to the amenities, Sabrina also loved that she got to stay in the room that she delivered her son Benjamin in. The whole family enjoyed the experience of the new baby together in the birthing suite. During her latest pregnancy, she appreciates that her OB/GYN, Dr. Elizabeth Howell, calls just to check in on her.
McKee wants to be a special place for all women. We brought more obstetricians and gynecologists to the Loveland community to improve access to care. The hospital also wants to make sure that women don’t feel they have to leave within 24 hours of giving birth. We offer a free massage for mothers on the day after their delivery as well as help with breast-feeding questions and post-partum issues. Our hospital volunteers even knit babies going-home baby bonnets.
Mothers like Sabrina see and appreciate the McKee difference. “We were really happy with McKee. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.’’
