At North Colorado Medical Center, we believe that sharing your health care experiences can be helpful to you and other patients like you. We invite you to come to our campus for these free support groups:
Burn Survivor
Western States Burn Center support group is for all burn survivors and their loved ones. The group meets on the second Friday of every month. Dinner is provided. Topics include: depression/anxiety/post-traumatic stress disorder, skin care, scarring/compression, mobility, stamina/energy and returning to work, intimacy/relationships, self image/acceptance, reintegration into society, legal matters, transition from hospital to home. Outside speakers are occasionally invited..

- Breast Cancer Support Group - a support and education group for women with breast cancer and their loved ones.

- Man-to-Man, A Prostate Cancer Support Group – a support and education group for men with prostate cancer and their loved ones provided by the American Cancer Society.

- American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery®, a patient-to-patient visitation program offering education and support for breast cancer patients.
- American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better® a program designed to help cancer patients cope with body changes while undergoing cancer treatment.
- Diabetes Support Group
The goal of the Diabetes Support Group is to offer people with Diabetes (and their family and friends) information, resources and support. We focus on prevention and treatment of diabetes. There is no need to register. Topics are subject to change without notice.- Cost: Free

- WomenHeart
WomenHeart is a national coalition for women with heart disease that champions prevention, early detection, accurate diagnosis and proper treatment. This local support group meets monthly at NCMC to provide women living with heart disease critical peer-to-peer support, information and encouragement. View meeting schedules and upcoming topics.
- Breastfeeding Support Group
Complete counseling services and continuing education and support help mothers bond and breastfeed their babies. The clinic offers mothers helpful breastfeeding advice, accurately monitors the baby’s food intake and offers emotional support.- Cost: Free
