Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are sometimes limited because our patients need their rest. After hours, visitors may enter through the Emergency department. Overnight guests must be approved by the patients' nurse.
For the well-being of our patients, it is also important that children under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult (other than the patient) at all times.
Please do not visit if you are feeling ill or have any of the following symptoms: Rash, Vomiting, Fever, Diarrhea, Runny Nose, Sore Throat, Cough, Pink Eye, Chicken Pox or exposure to within the past two weeks.
General Visiting Hours
9 a.m. - 8 p.m. After hours visitors must enter through the Emergency department entrance. Overnight guests must be approved by the patient's nurse

- Fathers anytime
- Relatives and friends 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. with the approval of the patient.
Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)
An ATM machine is located on the first floor just outside of the Gift Shoppe near the central elevators.
Billing and Insurance
Our patient financial services department can help answer your insurance and billing questions.
Dining
The Banner Bistro offers healthy, hearty meals and snacks for all appetites. Located conveniently for guests near the Main Entrance, food service is available from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- From 7 to 11 a.m. we serve breakfast off the grill as well as hot cereal
- Pastries and cold cereals are available all day long
- From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. we serve hot entrees and we also have a full service grill, deli and a soup and salad bar.
- From our brick pizza oven, we serve pizza by the slice.
- Grab & go salads and sandwiches as well as an assortment of desserts, beverages and soft serve ice cream are available all day long.
In addition guests can visit The Sixteenth Street Terrace Cafe, located on the service/ground level, food service is available at the following times:
- Breakfast 6:30 a.m to 10 a.m.
- Lunch 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Evening 2 a.m. to 4 a.m.
The Coffee Corner
Satisfy the urge for an espresso drink at The Coffee Corner located on the first floor near the central entrance. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon.
Snacks and Vending Machines
Snacks and beverages are available from vending machines located on the first floor near the cafeteria, and in the Emergency department lobby. Machines in the McKee Conference & Wellness Center are accessible during business hours.
Mobile Phones
The use of cellular phones and other wireless electronic devices is permitted in most areas of our hospital. The areas where cell phones are prohibited include the Emergency department treatment areas, pre-op or recovery rooms. Cell phones must be turned off in these areas.
Chaplain Services
The Idris Kendrick McArthur Memorial Chapel is located on the first floor near the central elevators. It is always open for meditation or prayer. Worship services are held regularly. The service schedule is posted on the Chapel door.
Spiritual care is provided 24 hours a day under the direction of the hospital chaplain. The chaplain can provide an empathetic presence and offer prayer or spiritual counsel, if desired. Patients of any religious faith or background can access a chaplain, who has been trained to offer compassionate and hospitable care. The chaplain can also assist by contacting other community clergy, or another resource from a religious background desired by the patient.
Issues that a chaplain might be able to help with include: grief, guilt, discouragement, fear, lack of meaning, little will to live, loneliness, family strain and discord. A chaplain may be reached at (970) 350-6476.
Customer Services
Your care and satisfaction are of the highest importance to us. Please let your nurse know of any special needs you may have. Every unit of the hospital has an assigned charge nurse available 24-hours a day who will gladly assist you or your family with any unresolved issues.
Gifts
The Gift Shoppe is operated and staffed by the Volunteers of North Colorado Medical Center. Whether looking for a get-well card or a specialty item, our gift shop has a variety of gifts and sundries including, balloons, candy, flowers, cold drinks, and postage stamps.
Shop Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 9 a.m to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sunday, noon. to 4 p.m
Ice Machines
Ice machines are available in the cafeteria and to the left of the elevators on the second and third floors. .
Mail
Letters and packages will be delivered to your room by a hospital volunteer. Please address mail to: North Colorado Medical Center, 1801 16th St., Greeley, CO 80631 and state that the recipient is a patient at North Colorado Medical Center. Mail that arrives after you have been discharged will be forwarded to the return address you provided in admitting. To send mail, give your stamped letters and postcards to your nurse.
Parking
We know how difficult it can be to find parking on campus, that's why we offer free valet parking weekdays, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., we even include the tip.
Patient Food
Patient meals are prepared for you with consideration of your special dietary needs. Most patients will receive a daily menu to select appropriate foods. Tell your food service worker or nurse if you have a question about the meals you order, or if you receive food from outside sources. Foods other than your prescribed diet may conflict with your physician's orders, your diet, or medications.
Patient Satisfaction Surveys
Once you are at home, you may receive a patient survey with regard to your stay at North Colorado Medical Center. Please take the time to fill out this form.
We continuously improve the care and services we provide to our patients and their families. It is our goal to provide you with "excellent" service. We compare ourselves to 1,400 hospitals across the country and rely on you to let us know how we are doing.
Patient Valuables
The hospital cannot be responsible for lost or stolen valuables. Please send all jewelry and valuables home with a family member. For your convenience, a safe is available for certain items you cannot send home. Ask your nurse to assist in labeling eye glasses, denture cups, walkers, canes, and wheelchairs.
Pay Phones
Pay phones are located near the central entrance, in the Emergency department lobby and in the lobbies.
Pets
Family pets may visit under the following conditions:
- Your pet's veterinarian must complete a form and it must be returned to the hospital before your pet can visit. Your nurse can provide a copy of this form.
- Your pet must be well groomed and bathed. Pet visitation is restricted for patients with certain conditions. Ask your nurse if you need further information.
Room Temperature
If your room temperature is uncomfortable, please notify our nursing staff.
Smoking
North Colorado Medical Center is a smoke-free health care facility. Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings on the campus. If you wish to smoke during your stay, please ask the nursing staff for designated locations.
Translation Services
If you are hearing impaired or need an interpreter or translator, please ask your nurse. Spanish interpreters are in house 24 hours a day. Other languages also available.
Visitor Waiting Areas
Family and friends are invited to wait for patients in the waiting areas located on each floor of the hospital. Please do not leave children unattended in these areas.
Using the Telephone
All long-distance calls must be charged to a calling card, your home telephone number, credit card or placed as a collect call – they can not be charged to your hospital bill. To make a call, dial 88, then 1+ the area code and carrier's phone number. You can reach other long distance carriers from your telephone by dialing the carrier's "800" access number. Ask your nurse to give you a phone number where friends and family may contact you.
For your comfort, no outside calls will be sent to your room between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Waiting Areas
There are specially designated lounges for visitors. Ask staff and volunteers to show you to a nearby waiting room.
Wellspring Health and Resource Library
The Wellspring Library is an excellent resource for community members, patients and patient families to research health issues. Located near the Central Entrance, the library offers an array of health care and medical information and resources. A full-time librarian is available to help you with your research needs.
