North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC) makes a difference in the lives of those suffering from diseases, disorders and injuries of the brain, spine and nervous system with a neurosciences program that spans more than three decades.
A Level II Trauma Center, NCMC boasts an outstanding team of neurologists, neurosurgeons and nurses who have proven to be an invaluable resource for both referring physicians and patients who have sustained severe neurological injuries.
In addition to its emergency neuro services, the hospital’s Neurosciences Institute treats patients across northern Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming who suffer from an array of neurological conditions including brain tumors, ulnar nerve disorders and spinal cord injuries.
Additionally, those who have suffered a stroke benefit from NCMC’s comprehensive stroke program. Dedicated to stroke prevention and treatment, the program is an active member of the Colorado Stroke Advisory Board and the Colorado Stroke Registry.
Rounding out NCMC’s neuro services is the Center for Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, also known as the CAIR Unit, which specializes in rehabilitation nursing and therapy services for patients needing rehabilitative care following a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological trauma and/or disease, and a number of other debilitating conditions.
