Requesting Safety Training
Why Safety Training?
Simple. To make sure that your team is safe, efficient and to make your critical calls run smoother. It is important that your crew is educated in selecting and preparing landing zones, communicating with the pilot, patient preparation, loading of patients and powering down the aircraft in the event of an emergency.
What will we do at a Safety Training?
A crew member will visit with your department and discuss the logistics and safety of helicopter operation. A twenty- minute video will be reviewed and weather and availability permitting, our duty crew will land the aircraft at your landing zone. There will be plenty of time to answer any questions. Your team will then train in loading patients into the aircraft with the crew. Time will also be spent with the pilot identifying switches and controls needed to power down the aircraft.
Requesting a Safety Training is easy! Call (970) 350-6237 and ask for a crew member or leave a message. Tell them who you are, what agency you are with and date that your service would like their training. Be prepared with a landing zone location. If it will be your first safety training please have the latitude & longitude coordinates to give to the crew member.
