Women who choose to breastfeed are supported by North Colorado Medical Center’s certified lactation specialists.
NCMC’s Certified Lactation Specialists help moms with breastfeeding questions and concerns at drop-in sessions held in Greeley. Latch-on, positioning, baby weight gain, nipple tenderness and other issues are addressed. Hospital-quality breast pumps, as well as Ameda and Medela pump parts, are available for purchase through the Atrium Apothecary Pharmacy at 20 percent off retail price.
These clinics are free to mothers who delivered their babies at North Colorado Medical Center or McKee Medical Center. For mothers who delivered elsewhere, there is a one-time $45 fee assessed at the first clinic attended.
Please use our free valet service and enter the main doors. Once you are in the hospital take an immediate left and head toward the end of the hall. The Breastfeeding Clinic door will be on your left-hand side. Please bring your baby hungry, at least ½ hour before clinic closure. To get the most out of your time at clinic, please bring a quiet activity for your baby's siblings to do. Pillows and foot stools will be provided for use during the feeding.
Clinics are held throughout the week.
