Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
At North Colorado Medical Center, our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery provides specialized care for premature and sick babies in a nurturing, family-centered environment and is specially equipped to handle emergency situations.
Our intensive care nursery is a state-of-the-art facility with an environment focused on family-centered and developmentally appropriate care.
We work to provide your family with comprehensive education, world-class medical care and compassion.
Our team consists of pediatric providers, including neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatology consultation, neonatal nurses, lactation consultants and care coordinators.
Critically ill and premature infants are sensitive to light and noise. Our NICU is designed to provide developmentally supportive care through noise control, varied lighting to support infant growth and development, and promote family-centered care.
Because we consider each child's family an important part of the care team, our nursery staff will teach you about your newborn's special and unique needs. If mom is discharged before baby, our expert team will make every effort to keep your family connected until your baby is ready to go home.
