Amanda's Story:
Giving Back by Helping Others

  Amanda was on her way to Tahoe to snowboard when she hit black ice, ran into a pole and flipped her truck three times. She coded twice and as her heart stopped beating, North Colorado Medical Center emergency room staff called her parents to tell them to get to the hospital as soon as possible. Amanda, who is also a cancer survivor, hung on, however. She was in a coma for five days in the intensive care unit.

Give blood and win a chance at “Get Fuel for Giving Life”

The value of donating blood this summer can last for miles with “Get Fuel for Giving Life.” Donate blood at the Blood Donor Center at North Colorado Medical Center or at one of their mobile blood drives through Aug. 30, and you can register to win a $50 gasoline card from ConocoPhillips. Two winners will be drawn weekly.
