Strength & Toning Fitness Class
An eight-week exercise program for all ages emphasizing the importance of strength and toning.
Safe Sitter
A medically accurate babysitter training program designed for 11-13 year olds. The immediate goal of the course is stressing how to handle emergencies -- major and minor. During the program students listen, practice, role play and learn about an array of topics including: safety precautions, rescue breathing, care of a choking infant or child, recognizing emergencies, and calling for emergency help. The program also covers the basics of child care and the business aspects of babysitting. As a certified teaching site, Sterling Regional MedCenter Wellness Services in cooperation with the CSU Extension Service will be offering Safe Sitter, a one-day baby sitter training program on Wednesday, April 3, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Taking Charge of your Diabetes
A five-week class that assists people with diabetes in understanding diabetes, methods of controlling the disease and the daily care and treatment necessary to lead active, healthy lives. This program has received recognition from the American Diabetes Association for meeting the ten national standards for quality.
Fit Kids After School
A four-week fitness program for 2 - 5 graders offered at the elementary schools after school.
