STERLING, Colo.(March 22, 2012)--Centennial Area Health Education Center (CAHEC), recently hosted the 27th Annual Centennial Nightingale Luminary Awards at Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in Loveland, Colorado. The purpose of the Nightingale Awards is to honor area nurses who have shown exceptional talent and dedication in their practices. Nurses were nominated by peers, administrators, families, patients, and friends.
Joy to leave Sterling Regional for new position at Banner Health

(March 14, 2012) – Michelle Joy, chief executive officer (CEO) for Sterling Regional MedCenter , will leave that position effective Monday, April 16, to assume a senior leadership role in another Banner Health facility in Colorado, announced Jim Ferando, Banner Health’s Western Region president.

Dr. Lahey is an orthopedic surgeon with 25 years of experience in total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and fracture care. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Couple's Donation Brings Cancer Center to Sterling campus
STERLING, Colo. (Dec.16, 2008) -- Sterling Regional MedCenter and Banner Health today announced the construction of a local Cancer Center made possible by the generosity of Sterling residents Frank and Gloria Walsh. The Walshes have provided Sterling Regional MedCenter and the Banner Health Foundation with a gift of $8.8 million to build the David Walsh Cancer Center at Sterling Regional MedCenter on the Sterling campus.
