Under the direction of an anatomic and clinical board-certified pathologist, Sterling Regional MedCenter laboratory is accredited by:

We have more than 20 laboratory employees, including business associates, medical technologists, medical technicians, phlebotomists, histologists and lab assistants.

24-Hour Testing
The Sterling Regional MedCenter laboratory performs tests 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the majority of tests in-house.

Reference Laboratories

• Horizon Lab - Horizon Laboratory is a collaborative effort between the four Colorado Banner Health Hospitals – East Morgan County Hospital, McKee Medical Center, North Colorado Medical Center and Sterling Regional MedCenter - to provide convenient, multi-specialty laboratory services in Colorado.
• Mayo Clinic is the reference laboratory for Horizon Laboratory. The highly trained staff consists of over 140 laboratory personnel including business associates, medical technologists, medical technicians, phlebotomists, histologists and lab assistants dedicated to providing timely information essential to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
