At Sterling Regional MedCenter, our skilled surgeons and support staff provide high-quality surgical care. This includes pre-operative exams and follow-up care.

Surgical Area
Our surgeons have expertise in general surgery, orthopedic, gynecologic surgery, urologic surgery and otolaryngological (ear, nose and throat) surgery.

Departments that make up our Surgical Care Area are the pre-op holding unit, the operating rooms, the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and the sterile processing unit. Caregivers on this units work  with surgeons, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and other health care professionals to provide the best surgical experience possible.

Family-Centered Patient Care
Our Surgical Care staff stresses communication and education. From the time the patient begins preparing for surgery through recovery, our team involves family members in discussions about treatment and care.

Pain Management
Patients may experience some discomfort following their surgical procedure. There are many methods available to keep pain levels to an acceptable level so a patient can participate in therapy and rest. Discuss these options with your surgeon and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
