Van Wahlgren, MD

Dr. Wahlgren received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1979, and completed his orthopedic internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Wahlgren comes to Banner Health from Menomonie, Wis., where he had practiced at Red Cedar Medical Center, part of the Mayo Clinic Health System since 2006.   Dr. Wahlgren is an alumnus of the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., and served in the military until 2005.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Wahlgren specializes in general orthopedics including sports medicine, adult reconstructive surgery of hip and knee, arthroscopy, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, trauma and fractures.
