Ogallala Community Hospital combines tradition and technology to provide excellent patient care for Ogallala, Neb.

Founded in 1952, our trusted community care and critical access hospital strives to meet the health care needs of western Nebraska and is dedicated to supporting our patients’ physical, emotional and mental well-being.

Ogallala Community Hospital prides itself on providing excellent patient care, the latest in technological advances in a rural setting, and caring attention to patient needs. 

Technology advances include usage of electronic medical records and the innovative iCare program, a technology that allows specially trained physicians to monitor our local patients from hundreds of miles away. Ogallala also offers an intelligent OB program, a computerized system designed to reduce the complications during labor and delivery.

Ogallala Community Hospital has been certified by Medicare as an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital. It has 130 employees, making it one of the county’s largest employers.
