Each year, hundreds of residents and visitors of Keith County and surrounding areas look to Ogallala Community Hospital for heart care. 

We offer diagnostic services, a team of visiting cardiologists and an  Emergency department well equipped to provide initial treatment and stabilization.

The initial care for those experiencing chest pain or other discomfort due to heart disease is critical. That’s why the experienced staff at the Ogallala Emergency department assesses each patient’s condition and begins treatment as quickly as possible.

When patients require more advanced diagnostic, surgical or non-surgical care, Ogallala is proud to partner with North Colorado Medical Center’s comprehensive CardioVascular Institute.  Ranked among the best in the nation for cardiac care, the institute can perform these and other services:

• cardiac catheterization
• open heart surgery
• interventional electrophysiology studies
• echocardiography
• bioZ impedance cardiography (ICG)
• electrocardiography (ECG or EKG)
• nuclear imaging
• computed tomography (CT)

To make sure our patients receive follow-up care close to home, appointments can be scheduled with Ogallala Community Hospital’s visiting cardiologists by calling our Specialty Clinic at (308) 284-7230. They provide medical oversight, medication management and diet and exercise instruction.
