Surgical Area
At Ogallala Community Hospital, we have three main areas in our surgical care department:
Pre- and post-op area:
You will be escorted by our surgery staff here after reporting to the nurses' station.
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU):
You will recover in this area. All caregivers are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as well as cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Our surgery staff will work with your physician to ensure a successful recovery period. We will ensure a safe transfer to an inpatient unit or provide the care you need following your outpatient procedure.
Sterile Processing:
The sterile processing area is a little-known hospital entity. We are dedicated to ensuring that all of the instruments, equipment and supplies utilized in the operating room are completely germ-free and sterile for all surgeries performed.
