At Banner Health, where more surgeries are performed than any other organization in all the communities we serve, we provide all surgical patients with the highest standards of care. Whether the surgery is to repair a hernia or replace a knee or hip, patients can be assured that our medical professionals have the experience, skill and technology to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Five Banner medical centers offer the benefits of surgical robotics with the daVinci® Surgical System. Robotic technology complements the expertise of our surgeons and offers a less-invasive option to traditional surgery for patients, resulting in quicker recovery.
Ogallala Community Hospital has a general surgeon, orthopedic surgeon and two local certified registered nurse anesthetists on staff. In addition, two local family practice doctors and several specialists perform surgeries in our surgical suites.

Family-Centered Patient Care
Our Surgical Care staff focuses on a proactive approach to quality patient care that includes communication and education. From the time the patient begins preparing for surgery through the time the patient is recovering, our team emphasizes a family-centered approach to help ease any anxiety a patient may have.
Pain Management
It is likely the patient will experience some discomfort following their surgical procedure. There are many methods available to keep pain levels to an acceptable level that will allow a patient to participate in therapy and rest. Discuss these options with the surgeon and anesthesia provider and review our additional information on pain management.
