Community Hospital is proud to be a major health care provider in southeastern Wyoming and strong community partner to the town of Torrington and the surrounding areas.

Keeping kids safe:
Community Hospital, the cornerstone of health care in southeast Wyoming, is a major sponsor of the town of Torrington's Safe Kids Day.

One year, the hospital gave out hand sanitizers.

Last year, the theme was bicycle safety. The hospital handed out three bikes, 150 helmets, and little flashers to wear when walking or biking.

Bringing health care to those who need it:
Twice a year, Community Hospital goes to 28 local schools and businesses to provide free blood pressure and body-fat tests.

They also offer blood tests that can measure up to ten different health indicators.

Not only are the tests extremely popular and draw up to 2,000 participants but they can also be life-saving. One Torrington woman came to get her cholesterol numbers checked. They were so high that she soon went in for cardiac stress tests and bypass operation. "Honestly, without that first blood test I would probably be dead today,'' she says.
