Community Blood Screenings: Two blood screenings are held per year.  No appointments are needed.  Please fast for 12 hours (unless diabetic), drink plenty of water and take medications as usual.

Blood Chemistry Profile ($30): Full 32-level screening for bone and electrolyte levels along with heart and kidney functions and liver and lipid functions with cholesterol, protein, iron, glucose and thyroid levels.  REQUIRES FASTING FOR 12 HOURS UNLESS DIABETIC.  Drink plenty of water and take medications as usual.

  • Hemogram ($15): Complete blood count (CBC) of red and white blood cells with platelets.  Also, screens for anemia and leukemia and other disorders that affect the cells in your blood.
  • PSA for men ($30): Screening for prostate cancer in men over ago 50.  If there is a family history, it is recommended at age 40.
  • Hemoglobin A1C ($25): Measures historical blood sugar control up to three months.  This test is recommended twice a year for diabetics.
  • C-Reactive Protein ($25): These test can provide physicians with information about a patient's risk of heart disease. NO CAFFEINE FOR 12 HOURS BEFORE.
  • Ferritin ($20): Indicates the level of high iron stored and  can be useful in screening for hemochromatosis, anemia and some liver diseases.
  • ColoKit ($10): Take home test to screen for risk of colon cancer.
  • Health Assessment ($25): Be informed and current on what your health strengths and risks are by taking the Mayo Clinic Health Assessment.  Also learn where you should focus your efforts towards being the healthiest you.  This twelve-month online enrollment offers tools and programs that help you achieve your goals.
  • Vitamin D-25Hydroxy ($35): Provides an assessment of overall vitamin D status for the screening of deficiency or toxicity.  This test measures both D2 and D3 together and reports a total 25-hydroxy vitamin D.  Several factors are associated with an increased risk of developing vitamin D deficiency.
  • Blood Type ($25): Determination of ABO blood group and Rh type.  Group and typing of expectant mothers and newborns may indicate potential for ABO hemolytic disease of the newborn.  Rh0(D) typing is used to determine Rh immune globulin candidacy for prenatal and postpartum patients.
