Banner Health - Torrington Welcomes New Chief Nursing Officer
TORRINGTON, Wyo. (May 11, 2009) -- Banner Health - Torrington is pleased to introduce Chief Nursing Office/Associate Administrator Jeanie Martindale. Martindale has over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, 20 plus of those years in management. Her wide range of experience has been in Nursing Education, Informatics, Home Health Care, and as the Director of a Dialysis unit. Martindale is a nationally certified nurse in General Nursing Practice and belongs to the American Nurses Association along with Sigma Theta Tau, an international Honor Society of Nursing. Until accepting the CNO/AA position on May 11, Jeanie was Interim Chief Nursing Officer at Banner Health –Torrington.
“Jeanie is a very positive and stabilizing influence for nursing services on this campus and we are so fortunate to have her as part of this health care team,” says Chief Executive Officer Brenda Sturm, “as she has filled the interim role, many positive changes have occurred along with an emerging vision for nursing services and culture based in professional practices. She often mentions that we must ‘raise the bar’ and become more than we are now, in order to provide excellent patient and resident care.”
Martindale fills the last executive level position open at Banner Health - Torrington, joining Brenda Sturm, Chief Executive Officer; Sandy Dugger, Chief Human Resources Officer; Steve Smith, Chief Financial Officer; and Natalie Korell, Support Services Director on the Executive Team.
