Wellness Programs

Blood Draws
Two blood draws are held per year in the Community Hospital Care Link.  The spring blood draws are followed by the yearly health fair.  The Spring 2008 blood draws will be held Feb. 13-16 from 6 a.m. - 9 a.m.  No appointments are needed.  We are excited to be partnering with Wyoming Health Fairs beginning the fall of 2007 to offer more tests to the public.

Education Programs

Childbirth Education

Learn more about nutrition, easing pain and discomfort, massage therapy and relaxation, what's normal and what's not, preparing for labor, labor and delivery, post-delivery care for Mom, and newborn care.

  • Fee:  $25 for patients receiving primary obstetrical care from a Banner Health Physician and $50 for all others.
  • Class Dates:  Jan. 31, Feb. 7, 21, 28; May 8, 15, 22, 29; Aug. 7, 14, 21, 28; Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20.  Four-class course.

CPR and First Aid

Community Hospital offers renewal CPR and CPR/First Aid.  To sign up, please call 532-3184.

  • Renewal CPR-For those who have a current CPR card and just need to renew for the next two years. 
    • Taught the third Thursday of every month at 4 p.m. in Conference Room #2 at Community Hospital. 
    • Cost is $15 for the course and $11 for the book (optional). 
  • CPR/First Aid-Taught Jan. 8, March 8, May 13, July 12, Sept. 9, Nov. 8.  Saturday courses are taught from 9 a.m. -12 p.m., and Tuesday night classes from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Conference Room #2 at Community Hospital. 
    • Cost is $20 for the course and $14 for the book (optional).

Safe Sitter

Mission:Safe Sitter improves the welfare of young children by increasing the availability of young adolescents instructed in safe and nurturing child care techniques.  We enhance the lives of young adolescents by providing the opportunity to acquire competencies in rescue skills, basic first aid, and nurturing, safe child care techniques.

Safe Sitter courses are usually taught in the spring and fall at Community Hospital.  The class is a one-day, 6-1/2 hour class for children ages 11-13 years old.  Class dates for 2008: To be announced.  For more information, please call Community Hospital at (307) 534-7155 or visit safesitter.org
