Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised program to help heart patients recover quickly and improve their overall physical and mental functioning. The goal is to reduce the risk of another cardiac event or to keep and already present heart condition from getting worse.
Most insurances and Medicare cover the cost of the Cardiac Rehab program if you have one of the following diagnosis:
- Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack)
- Angioplasty
- Stint Placement
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
- Heart Valve Repair or Replacement
- Heart Transplant
- Stable Angina
Check with your insurance company to see if this is a covered benefit under your heath care plan.
