Banner Health’s Board of Directors approved Community Hospital’s Master Facility Site Plan which will be implemented over the next three years. 

Banner Health has committed 8.9 million dollars to the following: expansion of the Emergency Department and waiting room, expansion of Physical Therapy and Cardiac Rehab Center, renovation of Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory and Front Entry to Community Hospital.  In addition, the renovation includes a new outpatient corridor that will be separate from the Emergency Department entrance.

Community Hospital celebrated its 30th Anniversary of care in the current facility in May, 2007.  Banner Health and Community Hospital continue to invest resources to meet the needs of the community.  In 2006 over $560,000 in Financial Assistance was rendered to those who were uninsured or underinsured.  Additionally, the hospital absorbed $1,307,000 in Bad Debt from care that was received but the hospital did not get paid for and over $450,000 was spent on technology improvements.  CEO Gordy Lewis states, “We exist to make a difference in people’s lives through excellent patient care.  Banner Health provides us with financial resources, state of the art technology and care practices.  Our people, Physicians, Nurses, Clinical and Support staff, provide quality, compassionate care that makes the difference every day.”
