History of the Hospital
Since our beginning in the 1950s, Platte County Memorial Hospital (PCMH), has been constantly improving our services. We are now a 25-bed critical-access hospital. As Platte County has grown, we have kept up with our communityu's needs.
PCMH Timeline:
- 1955: Main PCMH building was constructed
- 1965: An adjoining nursing home was built
- 1977: An addition to the nursing home was built to accommodate Platte County's demand for more rooms
- 1987: Nursing home activities area was added Intensive Care Unit constructed
- 1990: Geringer Addition was added on to the main hospital building
- 1993: Home Care services added
- 1999: PCMH basement remodeled to create a thriving Outpatient Clinic and to make additional administrative offices
- 2005: Home Care services transitioned to new management
- 2007: PCMH opened a new Inpatient Unit and a remodeled main floor including:
- OR
- Labor and Delivery
- Pharmacy
- Radiology
- Front Lobby
- 2009: Banner Health transitioned the Platte County Nursing Home to new management
