Washakie Hospital Foundation purchases blanket warmer  
WORLAND, Wyo. (Nov. 7, 2011)- In October, Washakie Hospital Foundation donated  a blanket warmer to provide added comfort to patients receiving imaging tests.  The $8,000 cabinet style blanket warmer has digitally controlled heating to assure uniform heating of blankets and patient gowns.

Employees star in Pink Glove Dance National competition
WORLAND, Wyo. (Sept. 10, 2011) -- John Bramble, MD, radiologist at Washakie Medical Center brought the idea and enthusiasm for hospital staff at Washakie Medical Center to star in their own Pink Glove Dance video to help spread the word about breast cancer and show support for survivors.

WORLAND, Wyo. (August 5, 2011) -- It looked like it might be a rainy day for a parade but only a few sprinkles fell before the Washakie County Fair Parade on Friday, August 5.

36th annual ice cream social
WORLAND, Wyo. (July 14, 2011) --The 36th annual ice cream social and carnival was held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 as a fundraiser for the Hospital Auxiliary. Delicious homemade cakes, ice cream plus the fun and excitement of old fashioned carnival games brought crowds to the popular summer event held on the hospital lawn.

Camp Healthcare
WORLAND, Wyo. (June 29, 2011) - Capturing the interest of youth in pursuing a career in healthcare was the goal of the 2nd annual Camp Healthcare.  Not with lectures, power points or handouts but with fun, hands-on activities with health professionals. Lab techs, surgery techs, nursing, physicians, and physical therapists interacted with students to give them a glimpse into the world of healthcare.

Diabetes free A1C screening clinic
WORLAND, Wyo. (June 1, 2011)- Diabetes management involves many tests and screenings, but none is more important than the hemoglobin A1C test. Free diabetes clinics at the Outreach Clinic in Worland are held quarterly  to help patients montitor A1C and provide education.

Ruth Bower receives volunteer award
WORLAND, Wyo (April 28, 2011)-Worland-Ten Sleep Ambassadors honored Ruth Bower with the volunteer of the year award at the monthly Worland Chamber Coffee hosted by Washakie Medical Center.
