Laboratory Services at Washakie

At Washakie Medical Center, our laboratory is staffed with experienced and competent employees, dedicated to providing accurate laboratory results to your physician.

We offer a broad range of tests, in addition to testing that we send out to an accredited reference lab that offers 24-hour turn-around time results for most tests.

We are available for outpatient services from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Laboratory personnel are on-call seven days a week, 24 hours a day for emergencies.

Our laboratory uses state-of-the-art instruments in chemistry, hematology, coagulation and therapeutic drug monitoring.

Many various laboratory tests can be performed at the request of your physician. These tests may aid your physician in diagnosing your condition. For example, we run three cardiac enzymes that help determine if the patient has suffered a heart attack. These test can be done in less than 30 minutes and help us determine if a hospital stay is required.

We also perform tests for patients on different therapeutic drugs to help ensure that their medication dose is at the proper level. Remember, all tests must have a physician order.
