Moms, girls learn about growing up healthy and happy
GREELEY, Colo. (June 26, 2013) – North Colorado Medical Center Spirit of Women invites mothers and daughters to the new Spirit Girls…and Moms Too event, “Growing Up Healthy and Happy!”
The event is 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday, July 15 at the NCMC Auditorium, 1801 16th St. Guests can enter through Door 6. Admission is free for Spirit members and all girls. Cost for non-members is $10.
The program is geared for girls ages 8 to 12.
This unique event offers mothers and girls the chance to learn together and address some of the issues they will face as the younger females grow. Going through puberty is easier for moms and girls when both know what to expect. Better preparation for those physical and emotional transitions means a smoother transition to womanhood.
Banner Health Clinic pediatricians and gynecologists will be available for discussion of normal puberty-related events. Plus Spirit of Women will offer treats and fun activities.
Pre-registration for the event is required by calling (970) 392-2222 or emailing. Details are available at www.bannerhealth.com/NCMCspirit. This popular program will be offered again in January and July 2014.
