Join Banner Poison and Drug Information Center for a one- and-a-half-day overview of current research and practices in medical toxicology.

  • Identify general management principles for emergency management and supportive care including decontamination, enhancement of elimination, and antidotes.
  • Identify toxicity, symptoms, and treatment of natural poisons including bites, stings, and envenomations.
  • Identify the toxicity, symptoms, and treatment of toxic alcohol exposures.
  • Identify the toxicity, symptoms, treatment, and laboratory testing for novel drugs of abuse, anticonvulsants, anticoagulants, analgesics, and sedatives-including dangerous pediatric ingestions.

 Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS)

Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix and the University of Arizona - College of Medicine, Phoenix are proud to offer their first hands-on conference in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.

When: April 11-13, 2015

Where: Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort & Spa, Phoenix, Arizona. 

Experience a fresh approach to minimally invasive gynecologic education with an emphasis on evidence-based protocols and the most current state-of-the-art innovations in the operating room. Topics will include surgical anatomy, prevention of surgical complications, simulation medicine, a practical approach to teaching vaginal hysterectomy, choice of hysterectomy route, discussion of open power morcellation, management of pelvic floor relaxation and stress urinary incontinence. There will also be an opportunity to practice laparoscopic suturing, sling placement and to perform a simulated TVH on the Hopkins low-fidelity model.

Southwest Lung Cancer Symposium

Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert is proud to offer a one-day symposium featuring presentations by local and national lung cancer experts.

When: Friday, March 6, 2015

Oncologists and specialists who treat lung cancer will have the opportunity to learn the latest in diagnosis, staging, treatment and research as well as cutting edge and relevant information about current advances in Thoracic Oncology. Topics will include prevention of non-small cell lung cancer, staging and therapy of stage I-IV NSCLC, state of the art thoracic surgery, consolidation/treatment of oligometastatic disease, maintenance therapy and second line therapy; small cell lung cancer and mesothelioma.
