For six consecutive years, U.S.News & World Report has recognized Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in the magazine's annual best hospitals issue.  The department was ranked in the top 50 OB/GYN departments in the United States for 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Banner Good Sam's Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program helps new physicians make the transition from student to specialist by providing the support they need to develop clinical competence, relationship building with patients, methods for life-long learning and health management experience.

Residents learn, first-hand, the importance of continuity of care by caring for their own patients at  the Women's Center, Banner Good Samaritan's outpatient resident/faculty practice. All major subspecialties are represented and the faculty includes 19 perinatologists, many who are nationally recognized. This fully-accredited program functions on a single campus and accepts eight categorical residents each year for a total of 32 residents in the four-year program.
