Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center was accredited to educate residents in Orthopaedic Surgery in July 2007. The program is five years in duration. Two categorical PGY-1 residents will be matched each year through the NRMP with applications being accepted through ERAS.

Arizona State University, Harrington Department of Bioengineering, and the Banner Clinical Neurobiology and Bioengineering Research Center are participating research facilities with world class scientists, educators and facilities providing extensive educational and career scientist opportunities in the basic sciences.
The pursuit of scholarly activities is an integral part of the program for both residents and faculty. Advanced training occurs in all orthopaedic subspecialties, including Musculoskeletal Trauma, Adult Reconstruction, Pediatric Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Hand\Upper Extremity, Foot and Ankle, Musculoskeletal Oncology, Spine, and Orthopaedic Research on dedicated rotations for each of these disciplines.
The Orthopaedic Residency is the sixth residency program in the highly successful Graduate Medical Education Department of Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. Educational excellence is a well established tradition. There are currently a total of more than 200 residents in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Psychiatry.
GME also includes nine excellent fellowship programs that enroll about 40 fellows.
