Banner Desert Medical Center/Cardon Children's Medical Center Pharmacy Residency

Banner Desert Medical Center, a flagship of Banner Health and one of the largest and most comprehensive facilities in Arizona, and Cardon Children's Medical Center, a state-of-the-art medical facility dedicated to the health needs of children will host two PGY-1 Pharmacy residents.

This residency will offer training for the clinical needs of a large tertiary-care hospital and exposure to the needs of the pediatric population.

Areas of excellence include one of Arizona's busiest Obstetrics programs with an emphasis on high-risk pregnancy and neonatal care, Emergency medicine, cardiology, and general surgery.

The Department of Pharmacy provides 24-hour services throughout both pediatric and adult hospitals, supported by over 90 full-time pharmacy personnel. We utilize advanced technology throughout the hospital to provide patient specific medications in a timely fashion. Our Clinical Specialists cover a wide range of specialties, including neonatology, pediatrics, adult medicine, oncology and critical care. Additionally we have decentralized pharmacists located in the ED, PICU, NICU, ICU, Cardiac and two Med/Surg floors.
