For more than a decade, U.S. News and World Report has recognized Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center as one of America's best hospitals and has specifically recognized the OBGYN Department in the top 50.
Banner Good Samaritan's Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program, established in 1951, helps new physicians make the transition from student to practitioner by providing the support they need to develop clinical competence, relationship building with patients and colleagues, methods for life-long learning and living a harmonious life.

All major subspecialties are represented and the faculty includes 16 Perinatologists, many of whom are nationally recognized, as well as three Gynecologic Oncologists, four Urogynecologists and two Reproductive Endocrinologists. This fully accredited program accepts eight residents each year for a total of 32 residents in the four-year program.
