Why Arizona and Banner Good Samaritan: I'm glad to be a part of a new and developing oral maxillofacial surgery program....the only one in the Southwest. I like that you can help shape the future rotations and program standards. Also, the diversity and talents among the faculty make it a phenomenal place to build my training.

Why Arizona and Banner Good Samaritan: Before the interview process, I had never been out West and spending time here made me a believer in the desert weather. For me and my fiancé, living in Arizona was a welcome change from the Midwest and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors all year round! Good Sam offered me the training to make me a well-rounded oral and maxillofacial surgeon and afforded me the chance to be surrounded by experienced faculty and great residents.

Why Arizona and Banner Good Samaritan: Coming from a newer dental school, I saw the positive effect each individual has in molding a program in its infancy. When visiting Banner Good Samaritan and interacting with the residents, attendings and staff, I became excited about being part of establishing a program that produces skilled and highly trained surgeons. After joining the residency, I knew I had made the right decision, as the resident culture and close bond between all our residents and faculty has enriched this time of my life.

Why Arizona and Banner Good Samaritan: The residents and attendings here are amazing! There  is so much camaraderie in our group and we have a dedicated faculty, who are great teachers.    Besides the people, what really attracted me to this  program was the unparalleled implant, TMJ and trauma training we receive here. It is not only a truly well-balanced and strong program, but it has the advantage of being fairly new and therefore flexible toward making it even better. Not to mention that Arizona IS an amazing place to live! My wife and I couldn't be happier here. This program trains well-rounded surgeons and I feel very fortunate to be here in this amazing learning environment with as many opportunities as this program affords.
