Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, located in downtown Phoenix, Ariz., has a national reputation for excellence.
We were named one of “America’s Best Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report in Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Heart Care and Surgery, Gynecology as well as Kidney Disease.
Banner Good Samaritan received Magnet™ accreditation from the American Nurses Association. As a major teaching hospital, we support 250 medical residents, 50 pharmacy students and 2,000 nursing students.
We are a quaternary care referral hospital with more than 662 licensed patient care beds. Also, we are a certified Level I Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, provide Transplant Services and contain the Banner Alzheimer's Institute and the Banner Good Samaritan Poison and Drug Information Center.
The Pharmacy Department employs more than 50 pharmacists and 50 certified licensed technicians who provide state-of -the-art services 24 hours a day. Clinical Pharmacy specialists cover the areas of internal medicine, critical care, infectious disease, medical oncology, pharmacokinetics and research. Collaborative Medication Management pharmacists provide floor-based services including medication reconciliation, patient education and complying with hospital initiatives and protocols.
