About Wray, Colo.
The community of Wray is located about 140 miles from Greeley, on the high plains of eastern Colorado. The town is the county seat of Yuma County and has a population of just more than 2,000 with a service area of 10,000.
The economy is supported largely by ranching and farming. Recreational opportunities include golfing, fishing, and hunting in addition to a $2 million recreation/rehabilitation center that includes therapy pools, running track, water park and racquetball courts. There is an active community theater group, public library, and a number of service clubs and organizations. There are more than 900 students in the K-12 public school.
