Each year Banner Research hosts international volunteers and researchers from around the world. These volunteers are generally people who are working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree, pursuing a post-doctoral fellowship or a credentialed practitioner wishing to engage in research. In recent years our visitors have included students and researchers from almost every continent.
International visitors/volunteers must have a sponsoring organization underwriting their financial support while volunteering at Banner Research. Documentation of financial support is required during the application process. Visitors/volunteers must also acquire the appropriate international visa necessary to travel to the United States.
Documentation of visa status will be confirmed during the application process.
Because of the large number of applications we receive each year, applicants should prepare to apply early to accommodate processing times.
International visitors/volunteers will be responsible for travel, meals, housing and other incidental expenses related to participating in the program. Securing housing for the duration of your stay is the responsibility of the applicant. Assistance in locating appropriate housing may be provided upon request.
International Interns/volunteers are admitted on an as needed ongoing basis. Volunteers interested in pursuing an academic year internship must fill out an application, provide a CV/resume as well as a personal statement and a faculty letter of recommendation. The faculty recommender should be able to assess your personal initiative, motivation and suitability for the research experience. The faculty recommendation must be written on professional letterhead and sent to the address below. Applications will be rejected unless all requirements are completed and submitted.
